Read all three of the Andy Weir books. Need the next best thing.
I just love the sciency casually written style of, e.g.Project Hail Mary. Wasn’t a huge fan of the Bobiverse stuff, though. But I did enjoy Sum of all Fears. I would appreciate any suggestions along those lines. Thank you.
Sciency casual? Murderbot. Despite the ominous name it’s casually written and funny as hell. It’s being made into a series with Alexander Skarsgard on Apple+. I loved it.

Not sciencey, but still great sci Fi. I would try Blake Crouch – dark matter, recursion, upgrade.

I just bought Artemis is it any good? I read and audiobooked the martian and loved it.
For recommendations: I can say Wayward Pines trilogy is super fun! it doesn’t dive into the like, super capable mathy engineer protagonist, but the world is fun and it’s sci fi. gobbled that up super easily
