I recently came off of the Lucy Kincaid series by Allison Brennan and am just in a slump. Like in mourning! I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions. I mostly listen to audiobooks right now because of my commute, so bonus points if it’s an audiobook and the narrator isn’t awful.

I love a strong female main character and love thrillers that involve some sort of law enforcement. I like romance and love lots of twists and turns. Not predictable. I’ve really enjoyed the Lucy Kincaid series because it’s all about one main character and her family and the organic growth that occurs over the span of the series.

    My thoughts on others:

-Catherine Coulter – I’ve read quite a few of hers but only love The Maze. It’s my favorite. She then started writing about others and started getting into some weird ESP stuff with Savich.

-Toni Anderson – Listening to the first in the negotiator series and am really riveted.

-David Baldacci – Loved Atlee Pine. Wish there had been more romance.

-Amanda Kyle Williams – Dang I love Keye Street. She’s hilarious AND I was left guessing.

-Linda Castillo – I listened to one book and it was good. Interesting with the Amish town. I’m going to work through the series.

-Jana Deleon – I wanted to love the Miss Fortune series but they’re too light, and sometimes it feels like she tries too hard to be funny, and a lot of it isn’t really realistic. Obviously they’re all fiction at the end of the day, but I prefer somewhat believable.

-James Patterson – Read the collab with him and Sean Ennis and it was so predictable. Emme Dockery was the MC. Disappointing.

I am working on collecting and reading the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich and the Kay Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwall.

    Who would you recommend?
