I have read a post about getting out of a reading slump and followed much of the advice. I tried to read a few books I know I love, such as {{Assassins Apprentice}}, {{Leviathin Wakes}}, {{Darkfever}} and others, but I get bored about 20 pages in or so and have to put it down. Even one of my favorite authors, Neil Gaiman, has been unable to get me out of the slumps.

I read through another post about books to read to help with mental health issues. I got some ideas. I am trying to slug through {{My Year of Rest and Relaxation}} but am not liking it so far. I will go back and see if any other recommendations stick out to me.

I tried a new genre, romance, that I don't normally read with no luck. I have gone through several posts, but I have either already read some of the books suggested, or they do not seem interesting. I may be being overly picky at this point, I am pretty annoyed at myself. Adding to the annoyance is that reading and talking about the books is a major way my oldest and I connect; we have long conversations about our newest read.

Thank you for your time and effort; I appreciate it!

I have not posted here before. I reviewed the rules and am pretty sure I followed all of them, but if not, I apologize. *Edit: I misread rule #9. I have removed the links.
