Made it a third of the way through Blood Meridian and just could not finish it. I e read other McCarthy books and have enjoyed them, but this… I just couldn't. Lack of punctuation, run-on sentences and lack of emotional attachment (for me, personally) to any of the characters had me dreading picking it up to further my progress. Ultimately, I decided to not finish it.
All that said, I still feel guilty about it, and also kinda dumb. I encountered a lot of words that I had to look up, and even with the kindle dictionary, there were some words that couldn't even be defined using that tool. I consider myself a pretty well-read person, but this book defeated me.
Anybody else feel this way about DNFing a book?
