Hello everyone! I’m a big reader but I’ve been in a slump for a while. I want to pick up a good fantasy book since I haven’t read a ton but I have some criteria. 1. I’d prefer if it’s a stand-alone, or a trilogy/duology of some sort. I’m not the one to read a 9 book series. 2. I am not a fan of the ACOTAR series (I read it and hated it), and those types of fantasy books (fae, all spice no plot) are not my cup of tea. 3. I would prefer a little romance and a little spice, but not the entire book to just be porn. 4. I am relatively a beginner in fantasy novels, so I would love a fantasy book that is less complicated and convoluted than usual.
