I’ve been trying to read more and get off my phone. But to be completely honest, I think the internet has fried my brain, or maybe I’m just not a good reader.
The thing is, I want to read a book, enjoy it and understand it, without being embarrassed to tell someone I’m reading a book for children.
One book that I really enjoyed and was able to understand fully was The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells. That level was perfect for me, and it wasn’t exactly a “children’s book.” I think it’s around a ninth grade level, or around 1000 – 1100 Lexile.
If anyone has any recommendations for books I could read, that would be awesome. I like any genre as long as it’s not romance.
