I want to fall in love with reading again. I loved reading books like:

Uglies Series,
Matched Trilogy,
Wake Trilogy,
The Host,
Shiver Trilogy,
Life As We Knew It,
I’m a grown woman now and I’d love to find books like this where the protagonist is an adult. Thanks 😊

Have you tried Ilona Andrews? I’ve only tried the Innkeeper series and they (wife and husband writing team) are definitely more towards the fantasy side of things rather than full dystopia. But I feel like they would be a good option.
I also really like True Blood by Charlaine Harris.
I’m always on the search for the same thing. Grew up on Tamora Pierce and Robin McKinley and nothing quite compares for me. I still go back to those often.
If you are a series person, here are some I’ve found engaging.
1. Throne of Glass – Sarah J. Maas. I couldn’t stand the ACOTAR series, but loved this one. I feel like most people are either/or, but this on sucked me in for some reason.
2. Kingmaker Chronicles – Amanda Bouchet. I’ve always loved Greek Mythology, and the references made this a fun set.
3. Pathfinder’s Way – TA White. This is part of a trilogy, which I enjoyed, but the first book was my favorite.
4. Ember in the Ashes – Sabaa Tahir. A bit of an investment, but this series has a good “rap”
Problem is that most of these aren’t specifically characters older than the 18-22 range – so the search continues.
