I’ve been playing Dredge recently and I love it so much, I was wondering if anyone knew of novels that captured the same vibes! I assume Moby Dick would be one example?
Something gloomy and with sea monsters is a big plus!

You should for sure read Shadow Over Innsmouth by HP Lovecraft.
I think it’s technically a short story or novella, but it’s fairly long for a short story. And there’s absolutely no way it wasn’t a huge influence directly or indirectly on Dredge. It’s cosmic horror taking place in a creepy fishing village.
