L’Étranger or La Peste by Camus are the only books I’ve read in French – my French is no longer so good. Both excellent.

I loved *Terres des Hommes* and the English verison: *Wind, sand, and stars.*
By Antoine Saint-Exupery (*The Little Prince author*)

Chimo, *Lila dit ça*.
Finding the original through the pile of links to the English translation and the film is not easy, but there are second-hand copies out there.

For a more modern read, I’ve enjoyed Guillaume Musso’s books. Mysterious thrillers with a hint of the supernatural from time to time. Et Après was his breakthrough novel.

You could try ‘Life : a User’s Manual’ by Georges Perec.
He describes the activities of inhabitants of a building in Paris on 23 June, 1975, just before 8 pm.
It’s an intriguing book where Perec goes from apartment to apartment and interlinks the stories of their inhabitants.
Definitely worth reading.
