I’ve been reading the 48 LOP by Robert Greene and love the way it is structured. He teaches lessons through historical events, gives examples of these lessons and then a short poem/stanza of a metaphor on the lesson.
But the best part is that he always adds a “Reversal” of each rule at the end of each chapter. This to me, defies how most authors write. They usually try to support one argument and rarely see the holes in what they believe. But Greene goes a step further.
