Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer might be my favorite book, and House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski is in my top 100. I constantly return to SCP-087 and Ted the Caver.
So: can anyone recommend books with those same vibes of endless interior space, claustrophobia, backrooms, architectural horror? Thanks!

Perdido Street Station by China Mieville. The city was built within and around the gigantic skeletal rib cage of a long dead behemoth.
