Give me an example of a book that you like, but there is a moment in it that raises the question: “WTF?!”

Disclaimer: I'm not asking for book recommendations, it's just a discussion.

I am sure that everyone has a book that you like, but there is a strange (to put it mildly) moment because of which you either almost dropped the book or almost lowered its rating.

For example, Stephen King's "It". This book is one of his most famous and is loved by many, but it has the infamous scene in the sewer, Where the characters are engaged in s*x, even though they are still children And this scene raises the question: "WTF?!". And attention, hide these moments under spoilers.
