looking back, I didnt really learn anything in my APUSH class and am kinda self conscious and hate it. It causes some cognitive dissonance because I feel like I should know about it. It’s not related to my career path so I don’t need a super in depth historian look, but I still want the details, not just broad stroaks. The only recommendation I keep seeing is “A people’s history of the United States” but ive heard that the book is not only biased but makes stuff up. I couldnt find any other suggestions for non-fiction books that werent flat out textbooks. Is there any books that encapsulate all of US history?
