I have a friend who wants to learn more on the slaughter of the Native Americans, and how they were royally f#$&ed over (best way I can put it). She specifically wants one on how it impacted the people, rather than on general policy and politics, so one by a Native author would be great, but not required.
I'm also a poor student trying to afford rent. As much as she is a great friend, I don't really have £40 to drop on American Holocaust on a whim, but any recommendations welcome! It's just that the cheaper options may be the best options atm.
