I used to really enjoy reading until college. I had to do so much ready in college that it ruined my love of reading. However, I want to get back into it. I’m looking for something not super long (like max 400 pages) to get lost in. I like sci fi, fantasy, history, biographies, etc (Harry Potter is the last series I read). I’m okay with starting a series, but I just need good suggestions to get back into reading

I can certainly help you with fantasy.
A D&D adventure: Dragonlance Chronicles by Margaret Weis, and Tracy Hickman, Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames, Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
Darker fantasy: Nightblade series by Ryan Kirk (ask if you want in chronological order cause its difficult to figure out), The Painted Man Peter V. Brett, The Capture by Kathryn Lasky, We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal, The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna
Dragons: House of Dragons by Jessica Cluess, Empire of Dragons by Rachel L. Schade,
Forest ranger: Ranger’s Apprentice by John Flanagan, The Traitor’s Son by Pedro Urvi
Special magic/talent: Graceling by Kristin Cashore, The Wretched of Muirwood by Jeff Wheeler (anything by Jeff Wheeler honestly), Ink Mage by Victor Gischler, Blood Heir by Amélie Wen Zhao, Shadows on the Moon by Zoë Marriott
Witches: The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco, When Wishes Bleed by C. Bond
Elves, humans, magic, arranged marriage: Fierce Heart by Tara Grayce
The war of queens: Two Dark Reigns by Kendare Blake
Adventures and battles against evil: The Green Ember by S.D. Smith, Heart of Mist by Helen Scheuerer
Normally I’d recommend Mistborn for a Harry Potter fan, since it is about a chosen mistreated orphan that learns magic to take on an apparently immortal big bad, but you asked for shorter.
Off To Be The Wizard is an easier read and is about a computer guy that learns magic in “Camelot”
