Hello guys, I would very much like to read a (fictional) book about the creation of a (fictional) religion and maybe the fight that goes along with it.
Something like the creation of Christianity: Jesus, the 'son of God' who spreads the word of the 'true God' and his values. A lot of Jews don't accept or believe it and Jesus gets crucified. Thus believers of Jesus split off from Judaism and create their own religion. But the Roman empire forbids it and Christians need to keep quiet. Until the moment that the Eastern Roman Empire officializes Christianity as its state religion because of its growing and growing numbers.
Or something like in the Dune Saga where the God Emperor Leto II creates a religion like cult around himself to manipulate humanity into not destroying itself.
