Setting aside the main plot of 11/22/63 for a moment, I really enjoyed how he intertwined IT with 11/22/62. I thought it was very clever; The cameos and also how he connected the evil of Derry with time travel. They both had the same "ominous" aspects to them.
As I was reading that section, I was thinking "Am I reading what I think I'm reading?" Not that he was particularly cryptic about it, but I hadn't read IT in a long time. Then it clicked and I thought "He is doing what I thought he was doing." It brought a wry smile to my face.
Just a unique thing for an author to do. Going back to visit a previous universe he created. It made the book more enjoyable overall to me.

I agree. I loved 11/22/63. One of my favorite King novels. Defiantly in the top 10 for me. Plus I tend to love time travel stories.
Great book, I really like that kind of book, I’m not sure what I should tackle next by Stephen King, I’ve read IT, some of the dark tower series, 11/22/63, and now the green mile.
I enjoyed that as well. If you keep reading his work, you’ll find he has quite a few of these references throughout his novels. If I remember correctly, “It” references The Shining and, particularly, the burning down of the Black Spot. Really neat!
Most of his books have light intertwining with some significant ties building into his Dark Tower Series. It’s all good stuff if King is your thing. Some people don’t take to him.
