I am entierly new to the Horror genre of books, and I am a bit unsure where to start off with them, as I typically stick to fantasy and romance novels. However there is a few things I want to avoid with a horror book:
- Demons (I find them way to cheesy)
- anything else supernatural (still cheesy)
- not overly and intensely graphic (I want horror, not torture)
- not a "kidnapping" / "serial killer" story (killer is fine if it's well done)
What im mostly looking for is something that takes place in a genuinely freaky environment, real or fantasy, im fine with monster stories or physiological thrillers too
Anything along those lines I'd love to get some recommendations. Please if I could get book titles and a brief spoiler free promo what it's about I would appreciate it ❤️❤️
