A while back I made a post about a book series called Horror’s Call, and the response was awesome. Welp, it’s free on amazon for a halloween promo (I know because of 4chan and they’re talking about it), and I genuinely think more people should check it out because it’s absolutely mind-blowing. Horror’s Call is like no other series I’ve ever come across, and it’s seriously trippy. It delves into the weirdest conspiracies in a way that’s both disturbing gory and intriguing. For example, one of the books features a guy who becomes convinced that gorillas are actually people in costumes and decides to break into his local zoo (while dressed as a gorilla to be undercover) to solve this bizarre mystery. Another one involves rabbis trying to bring about the end of the world in what’s possibly the most politically incorrect story I’ve ever read. Last time I shared this, some people thought I was the author, probably because it’s a niche indie series. But if you check my comment history, you’ll see I’ve been active in other things. It’s hard to talk about non mainstream books here sometimes. Anyways, I’m genuinely just excited to spread the word about this series because it’s absolutely bonkers and it seems like the only people know about it are 4channers usually. I first stumbled upon Horror’s Call on 4chan, where it has a dedicated following. Call of the Crocodile (one of the books) is considered a meme there where it’s frequently praised as the next Great Gatsby. Memes aside, Horror’s Call is hands down the most extreme and surreal horror series I’ve ever encountered, and you’ve got to read it to believe it. What’s cool is that many of the books get super meta, almost like horror versions of The Truman Show. If anyone here has already read Horror’s Call, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.
