Emily St John Mandel’s The Glass Hotel takes place in a remote part of Victoria Island in BC.
Doesn’t really tick any of your moods but {The Bittlemores} by Canadian treasure Jann Arden. There is a scene that’s turned a few readers off earlier in the book, I myself took a break there, but due to some of the narration choices I had to continue and see where it went.
