I read Cruel Prince and loved how the faires and fairyland was depicted. Like the most juicy red apple that you desire most of all, only to bite into it and find it rotten to the core.
I want a book with this type of vibe. Where one moment it describes drinking dew from peonies petals and the next a fairy is enchanting me to pull my eyes out.
I also like how in Cruel Prince it talks about needing to wear your leggings inside out so you don't get mislead in the forest. I like the nonsensical whimsical fairy tale aspects.
I also like having different types of faires, not just humanoid beings. And I like that there is that blend of the beautiful and the grotesque.
Any recommendations about books in this style? I don't mind what the plot is as long as it draws me in and while I like romance, it's not necessary.
