As a kid and teen I was an avid reader. I was really into YA novels especially by John Green such as looking for Alaska. Also really enjoyed everything I’ve read by Kurt Vonnegut. Catch 22 was one that I really got into. I enjoy historical fiction.
But here I am now, 29 year old mom of three and an RN. All the books I see recommended are like, MOM books. Don’t really wanna read smut or things that are reminiscent of my life. I wanna read to escape. NO CLUE where to start.

I wonder if you’d enjoy Circe by Madeline Miller, the greek tale of a nymph that turns into witchcraft and lives in solitude in an island as she explores her gifts.
Or
Moonlight by Ann Hunter is a great retelling of the Six Swan’s tale, about how six brothers are turned into swans and how only their sister can break their curse.
