So I am anxiously awaiting the release on July 16th of The Black Bird Oracle the new book in the All Souls Series by Deborah Harkness. The book has been delayed for awhile due to the author's battle with ovarian cancer. I am so glad she is doing better and able to write again as I am a huge fan of her work. It just got me to thinking given that we are somewhat over the halfway mark for the year, what books in 2024 were you or are you looking forward to being released? If they have already come out did they live up to the hype?

I was hyped for Kelly Link’s The Book of Love. It took a minute to get into, but once I started to understand it, it’s brilliant. Worth the wait.
I’m always optimistic that maybe this will be the year Robert Caro releases the fifth and final volume of The Years of Lyndon Johnson. But also worried that he might decide it’s actually five of six. Truly, George RR Martin fans don’t understand the true pressure of waiting.
A sorceress comes to call by T. Kingfisher, The Grandest Game by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Wind and Truth by Brandon Sanderson
Two of my loves are combined: Lev Grossman has a new book due out later this month, “Bright Sword,” that’s a take on Arthurian legends. I loved “The Magicians” series so am psyched about this one.
The new Bobiverse book in September!
Goddess of the sea by Brittany Jackson!!
I think Gillian Flynn has a new one in 2024, going on an interview I saw. I look forward to that, whenever it happens.
