I love the 1920s in particular, but open to all time periods. Would even be down for historical fantasy by salty-queen73458 Related: Fantasy books with best romances? Sapphic ace fantasy? An easy read for a hospital stay More like Kushiel’s Dart? Lit Fic with romance

Sweaty_Sheepherder27 on July 3, 2024 6:17 pm Bernard Cornwell has written a number of different series, set in various time periods. I’ve read the Sharpe series, which is good. Kevin Crossley-Holland wrote the Arthur series, set in the middle ages and following the young son of a minor noble in the Welsh / English borders. Eagle of the Ninth by Rosemary Sutcliff is set in Roman Britain, and is worth a read.
