I just blew through both of Adam Higgenbotham’s books in two days and I was so disappointed to realize they are his only two books! I’m looking for other very well-written, comprehensive narrative non-fiction accounts of singular, major events in world history. Disasters are interesting, but any subject that falls into the aforementioned category goes!
On a side note, when I was reading those two books, I often didn’t understand most of what was happening due to all the technical jargon required to describe the inner workings of rocket science & nuclear reactors. However, due to the author’s writing skill I felt like I understood the gist of things exceptionally well. I didn’t skip over the complicated explanations, I read them and absorbed just enough to keep me invested. Awesome books!
