I just read Miranda July's "All Fours" and it made me think a lot about the institution of modern marriage. I want to read more books with themes around what it really means to be in a long-term relationship/marriage in our modern age. While Miranda July's takeaway is obviously that modern marriage doesn't work for her, I am curious to read other takes/stories about modern relationships that DO work, and why. What is the inherent worth of modern marriage, in an age when we don't "need" marriage anymore? I'm particularly interested in feminist takes and stories that center the experiences of women.
