I just read I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman, translated by Ros Schwartz, and I was really impressed with the language- it was immersive and compelling, and I enjoy books with that sort of prose. Books where I will learn new words, be impressed and suprised by the syntactical choices, and I like to feel that I am reading a piece of work I can learn from; a poetic narrative.
Thank you for any suggestions!
