I liked space exploration and astronaut novels, but I want to try something new. What book do you suggest me that is close to science fiction but not related to space. I don’t think I like romance (Edit: + magic and similar extra fantasy stuff).
Edit: sorry guys I’ve written this fast. Now I wrote the missing words. Also, I’d like to hear why did you like those books. Thanks.

Have you tried the Discworld books? Moving Pictures might be a good starting point for you.
A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller Jr.
Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky
Prey by Michael Crichton
Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham
The Chrysalids by John Wyndham
Valis by Philip K Dick
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Borne by Jeff Vandemeer
Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood.
Sort of bleak tale that takes place post-global warming/apocalypse. It starts off in media res but you start to piece together what happened.
The Galaxy and Ground Within by Becky Chambers focuses on what happens when a bunch of aliens can’t leave a planet because of a technical failure. It’s a wonderful story in a scifi setting that has to do with the consequences of not being able to go to space.
Also by Becky Chambers is the Monk and Robot series, which is a solarpunk fiction about a tea brewing monk and their travels with a robot that is rejoining society. No space involved.
