i love this book due to the transparency in the messages yet the room to use it as a prompt for explication. i didn’t think it was meant to be too serious or groundbreaking, but love it deeply as a quick personal motivator. what is it that people hate so much??

It’s fine, but don’t think there is a specific amazing destiny you have to fulfill to have a worthwhile life
I read that my sophomore year of high school for class and am one of the haters. The problem for me though is that my teacher and the student teacher hyped it up SO MUCH as being this completely life-changing book that would alter the very course of my existence. I don’t know for sure, but I think if I had gone into it without all those expectations, it would have been a different experience.
