Wasn’t sure what to title this but I’m trying to get back into reading some novels. The most common fiction books I hear people talking about are in the fantasy genre and it’s not really my thing! I’m an avid gamer who loves story-based games with choice mechanics. The book having paranormal or horror elements is not necessary, the main thing I’m interested in is that it shares a similar vibe to the games I like. Small run-down towns or urban areas, “Midwest emo”-like, and flawed characters who have been through some shit.
My favorite games: Night in the Woods, Life is Strange, the Echo Project and Sally Face
***Bonus points if the book is Sapphic, I’d really love to find something that was sapphic and included all that (other LGBTQ+ identities are awesome too, anything would be great really)
