I've been reading extreme horror for the past month and I need a change of pace. I'm a girl in her mid twenties and have just moved back in with my parent, i have no purpose, I feel directionless, and I need a book to match this feeling. Something along the lines of Lost In Translation (film), The Bell Jar, The Virgin Suicides, etc. also preferably around 100/200 pages if possible. Thanks in advance

Handbook For The Recently Deceased
Tolstoy, A Confession
A Short Stay in Hell by Steven L. Peck fits your request very well.
Play It As It Lays, by Joan Didion
If you’re okay with both horror and directionlessness, try *Woman, Eating* by Claire Kohda, about a young vampire woman in London who longs to eat human food.
