Hi all, I'm looking for fiction/literary fiction (or even mystery or historical fiction) books about large, messy, dysfunctional families. Think the Christmas episode in season 2 of The Bear, if you've seen that. Thanks in advance!
I’m not familiar with that show but, I absolutely love the book Geek Love, by Katherine Dunn. I was glued to that book from page 1 till the end. If you want to read about dysfunctional families, crack that one open. It’s about a multi-generational family of circus geeks, written by the daughter. The family (all of their children geeks)was created by the parents, by taking various legal & illegal & dangerous substances. The results were…unreal.
