Preferably someone that isn’t physically abusive towards their love interest (but can be violent towards other people). Books like mansions and you are appreciated. Think someone that keeps breaching your personal space to take pictures of you, collect your stuff, and spend time with you.

Edit: by obsessed, I mean love obsessed (so a stalker that stalks their target because they’re madly in love with them)

The only one I know of top of my head is “You” by Caroline Kepnes, which does feature a lot of violence. There is also the first book of Twilight by Stephanie Meyers (sic).

Not a love interest stalker but Disclaimer by Renee Knight might be a good fit

I’ve not read it myself but the ‘You’ series comes to mind, it is based on the books by Caroline Kepnes, would fit the vibe I’m sure

I think Bill Pronzini’s first novel was called “The Stalker” – about a few army buddies who are being stalked.

One of the later Decker/Lazarus novels by Faye Kellerman is “The Stalker”

Not exactly what you’re describing but John Fowles’ “The Collector” is a classic stalker/kidnapper novel.

    5. The Collector by John Fowles is slightly out of your description, but fits the major theme. The main character has always collected insects, but his favourite are beautiful butterflies. When he’s expanding his hobby, he discovers a particularly beautiful girl, and becomes obsessed with the idea of ‘collecting’ her too.

There’s one called This Sweet Sickness that I recommend. It’s by Patricia Highsmith.
