I feel like some of the surrealist books I’ve read lately (Bunny by Mona Awad, The Factory by Hiroko Oyamada) are challenging and dark, but they don’t offer a real sense of closure by the end. That may be part of the appeal, to leave it open to interpretation, but are there any recs for books that are written with this sort of whimsy but also give a clear plot?

Another book I enjoyed was On Such a Full Sea by Chang-Rae Lee (dystopian future).
