I used to love reading when I was younger, but it's been years and my pasttime now is video games (basically mindless hobby). I'd love to get back into reading and was hoping you could provide me with some suggestions, ideally easier-to-digest books.
Books I like:
- The Hobbit
- LotR (not a super easy read, but I still loved it)
- Harry Potter
- Vampire Chronicles 1-3 (started 4, but never finished it; I think i liked it, though)
- DaVinci Code
- The Martian
- Game of Thrones (haven't read the rest)
- Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
- Annihilation
- Three Body Problem
- 2034
- Morning and the Evening (didn't love it, but liked it enough).
Books I did NOT like:
- Dune

Have you tried books that video games were based on like ‘The Witcher’ by Andrzej Sapkowski?

You can try some brandon sanderson books, you can start with mistborn, then stormlight archive, they’re really good fantasy books
