Hello! I enjoyed the Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle and I'm interested in reading another Short Story series. I don't care whether the stories are in a specific order in a continued story, or if they are independent of each other in no specific order. But I'd like the main character(s) to be the same in all the short stories preferably.
Besides recommending your favorite as a suggestion, feel free to throw in the names of other short story series if you know more since I don't know many short story series and it'd be nice to know more. Thanks for recommendations in advance!
