Has anyone read a book that felt like that classic shonen anime/manga? Like Hunter x Hunter or naturo vibes in a written form without it being a manga.
What I’m really looking for is maybe an adventure book with an interesting cast of characters that travel as a group? Something typically actiony but still well written.
If you have any suggestions like that please feel free to share 🙂

Will Wight’s Cradle series, starts with Unsouled. It’s basically book Naruto. Narration by Travis Baldree is excellent.
You might like the Tales of the Otori. The first book is Across the nightingale floor. A teenage boy from a small mountain village ends up the ward of a noble family. He finds out his heritage is special and gets the Arya Stark treatment and learns the ways of subterfuge. Set in a fantastical place inspired by Asian history.
You may also like We could be heroes by Mike Chen. A young man wakes up with powers he doesn’t understand and no memories. It’s part superheros part mystery novel. No romance.
Vicious and vengeful by VE Schwab. Former college friends unlock the means to give people super powers only to come to very different ideological conclusions on how to deal with those powers.
