Suggest me a book by an author who is better known for a separate book
For example, I think Fredrik Backman is best known for "A Man Called Ove" or possible "Bear Town," but I think "Anxious People" is by far his best work.
The Buried Giant is my favourite Kazuo Ishiguro novel. He’s best known for The Remains of the Day (which is also incredible) and Never Let Me Go.
Cormac McCarthy’s best known for The Road and Blood Meridian, but The Border Trilogy (All the Pretty Horses, The Crossing, Cities of the Plain) is my favourite work of his.

Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, by Douglas Adams.
It’s not nearly as well-known as The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, but it’s better.
It’s just as funny, and unlike HHGG, it has a very tight plot.
Before reading it, be sure to familiarize yourself with Coleridge’s poem “Kubla Khan”, including the backstory behind its composition.

Tolkien is better known for, uhhh, a lot of things, but the short story Farmer Giles of Ham has a special place in my heart. I also love the poem Errantry.
