Disability Pride Month Suggestions?
Hi everyone! Looking for some Disability Pride Month reading suggestions! I’ve read a lot of nonfiction by authors with disabilities and would especially love some fiction recs, but I’ll take any and all recs you’ve got!
Here are some of my personal favorites:
- Disability Visibility by Various Authors, edited by Alice Wong
- Feminist, Queer, Crip by Alison Kafer
- Exile and Pride by Eli Clare
- Black Disability Politics by Sami Schalk
- Care Work by Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha
- Disability and Capitalism by Marta Russell
- Nothing About Us Without Us by James Charlton
- Being Heumann by Judith Heumann

It’s non-fiction, but *The Country of the Blind* by Andrew Leland is an interesting read.
