Really need smth to read and Ive been in love with the post apocalyptic/zombie/ the characters form strong bonds that are constantly being tested/ amazing world building type feelings
For a more literary take: _Zone One_ by Colson Whitehead. A zombie novel by a guy who would go on to win a Pulitzer. Some folks find it a bit slow and/or pretentious, but I quite liked it. It has some really solid writing throughout, and more action and zombie staples than I expected.
For something a little lighter, _Ex-Heroes_ by Peter Cline is a long-running series about superheroes in a zombie-infested post-apocalypse. It can get a bit silly, but they’re fun quick reads with a large cast of interesting characters.
If the zombie part isn’t vital to you, then _Station Eleven_ could be a really good pick. Not very action-oriented, but the characters and writing are phenomenal.

Not zombies but Wanderers by Chuck Wendig also scratched that itch for me.
