The whole series Mysteries of Nature series by the same authors as The Hidden Life of Trees was great. Anything else that talks about nature, biology etc but doesn't read like a textbook?
This could include memoirs too. I've read books about Jane Goodall and liked those too.

This is a good question, I’m definitely going to check back for recs. I’ve never loved a book the way I love The Hidden Life of Trees. My first experience was with the audiobook and the narration is 10/10. I’ve since read and heard it too many times to count.
