    I want to be well-read so I can make references so some pieces of classic literature. There’s just one problem, I don’t have the attention span for Charles Dickens or Shakespeare anymore. I remember reading Of Mice and Men in school and really enjoying it because the author manages to convey a poignant story efficiently. Are there other similar classic novellas I can whip through in one afternoon?
    Cheers

    1. If you enjoyed Of Mice and Men you might also enjoy his other works like {{The Pearl by John Steinbeck}}.

      Otherwise I‘d recommend:

      {{The Outsider by Albert Camus}}

      Edit:”Bot got it wrong, probably because it’s known under The Stranger or The Outsider depending on where you live. [This](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/49552) is the right one”

      {{White Nights by Fyodor Dostoyevsky}}

      Also, making references to literature is fine and sometimes quite fun, just keep in mind that to some people it might come of as pretentious or boastful so don’t overdo it

    2. Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn are easy reads.

      Call of the Wild

      Fahrenheit 451

      The Hobbit

      *Edit: Really? People down vote book recommendations? Reddit is weird.
