Would love a suggestion based off my favorite books. I basically like something that makes cry, makes me root for the characters, not knowing how their fate will end, when parallel stories lines end up crossing over, hard times turned into triumph, etc.
Favorite books:
- A Fine Balance
- Nightingale
- A Little Life
- A Thousand Splendid Suns
- The Goldfinch
- The Vanishing Half
- The Glass Castle
- Memoirs of a Geisha
- Crawdads Sing (movie ruined it but still remember how much I loved the book!)
- If You Tell
Based off these (mainly tragic historical fiction or general fiction/non-fiction dramas – with characters you end up caring deeply for), what do you suggest next?
