I’d like to read one or two books to understand communism/socialism as a concept.
I already understand some of it’s principles but it’s only surface level knowledge. So I’m targeting short/medium interesting books that really set the bases for original communism/socialism. Is Capital by Marx good ?
I don’t mind it being too focused on the theoretical side, as long as it’s interesting.
Anyway, feel free to share your suggestions. 🙂

The summary is basically that the long-term goal is to create a stateless, classless, moneyless communist society that is free of exploitation and oppression. Socialism is the transition period between capitalism and communism, where the working class masses revolt and take control from the capitalists and start building a democratic, socialist society that moves away from a privitized, capitalist mode of production to communal ownership of land and resources.
I highly recommend the following short and essential reads on marxist theory. Marx is also important to read, but it’s probably better to start off with these intro books to get a solid foundation before diving into something like Capital
Principles of Communism by Friedrich Engels
Socialism: Utopian and Scientific by Friedrich Engels
The State and Revolution by Vladimir Lenin
