I used to absolutely LOVE reading books : from Harry Potter to Le Comte de Monte Cristo, passing through John Irving or Balzac, I was always passionately reading something to the point where my life was imbued with fiction.

Since I became a student and a french teacher, I can't merely find the same passion. The last books that changed my life were "Rebecca" by Daphne Du Maurier and "The glass castle" by Jeannette Walls.

Since then, most of the time, I fall asleep in my bed after two pages or I merely enjoy what I'm reading…

Now that it's finally the summer vacations, I need to return to my roots and read, read, read…

Something I can read in english even if I'm not 100% bilingual, something that will not discourage me because there's 10 volumes, something gut-wrenching that will keep me reading, something psychological or that can teach me anything about life.

    Well… Surprise me!

I've read some posts with your recommandations, but I don't know where to begin. Those books piqued my interest :

    • None of this is true by Lisa Jewell
    • The dead and the dark by Courtney Gould
    • The Eight by Katherine Neville
    • Anything written by Terry Pratchett

Well, suggest me anything else, I don't really know if those books can meet my expectations…

I kindly thank you, fellow readers!

She’s Come Undone and The Hour I First Believed, both by Wally Lamb.

Anything by Christopher Moore, especially Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal.
