I love a good romance subplot. The kind of book where you do not expect a romance to bloom between 2 characters. Maybe it starts as a thriller or a fantasy and somehow the romance grabs you unexpectedly. And the book still works on its original genre as well.
I’m craving for a book that isn’t marketed as romantic; whenever I read those it feels forced and unearned (for me)
