I tend to prefer books that delve into darker narratives, where characters are complex and often lost in their journeys. But I've been thinking that for the remainder of the summer, I'd like to read some more hopeful, comforting, and cozy reads. A book that comes to mind is "Kitchen" by Banana Yoshimoto. While it does address some heavy themes, it's gentle and reflective and still emphasises the beauty in finding hope in everyday life. If you have any recommendations along these lines, I would greatly appreciate it!
