A couple years ago, I read Jade City by Fonda Lee in the height of the July heat and loved it. I'd sit in the sunroom at night, play Chinese music from the 1950s, and read about the hot sticky summer drama in Kekon. I'm feeling a bit nostalgic, and it's summer again, so I want try to recreate that
I've heard that summer is kind of the spooky/ghost story season in Japan and China (unlike October in the west). Any novels that focus on a summery ghost story vibe?
