    Hi!

I love reading dystopian books whether they be “realistic” science fiction or fantasy-ish based, from just general societal collapse to zombies etc. But I recently realised that I don’t think I’ve read one that wasn’t centred around primarily the US and sometimes Europe, and then mostly the UK. So I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for authors from other parts of the world centring the perspectives of other societies. Alternatively any suggestions for books they’re set in the US/Europe that venter more around the experiences of POC and which perhaps don’t have as much of a focus on the hyper-masculine, individualistic “every man for themselves”, heteronormative themes that are usually pervasive in these books that would be amazing.

I would love to broaden my horizons and appreciate any recommendations 🙂

    1. Octavia Butler had a dystopian series Us Based but POC. Parable of the Sower is the first book

    2. 3 Body Problem is probably the most well known one that isn’t set in the Western world.
