I'm looking for my next novel as I've been on a classics kick recently. I'm almost finished with Dracula, my favorite so far, and I'm interested to see what others are into. I've thought about getting into Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters, and Count of Monte Cristo is on my shelf right now but I don't think I'm in the mood for something that long at the moment. So what are your favorite classics?

Persuasion is one I go back to a lot. It’s so well written, full of undercurrents and emotion. I love Jane Austen for her universal characters and always wonder how little people have changed on the whole.
Jane Eyre is another favourite. As an outlier I enjoyed Lady Audley’s Secret.
The secret garden🖤 No book will ever replace the special spot she has in my heart. It’s short and you can easily read it in an hour or two.
